Feeding dreams at Msizi are...

Msizi Africa was set up in 2007 after the Founding Trustee spent time at an orphanage in Lesotho with 50 AIDS orphans who were hungry and undernourished.

Introducing small changes to their daily diet – fruit, vegetables and meat – had such a positive impact on their lives. In a short space of time their health improved and they were able to concentrate at school and benefit from their education.

With a growing number of generous donors pledging support, Msizi Africa was able to expand and care for other children.

Msizi means 'helper' in Zulu and we now care for over 1,000 children in Lesotho and South Africa.

The charity is run in London by two members of staff with the support of our trustees. There are even more people working in Africa on the ground to care for our children – here's our big team!
